So...a couple of weeks ago Joe and I spent about $150.00 in sushi. We love sushi. We would rather buy sushi than groceries. We would rather snack on tasty edemame and alaskan rolls than practically anything. We have been to all the sushi places we have seen and we actually know the names of the people that work there. This is sick addicted behavior and it was costing us a ton of cash.

We decided to go to this huge oriental market in Brandon and buy our own sushi stuff. We left with $174.00 in equipment. This included a rice cooker that is completely awesome and the largest sharpest knife I have ever had the pleasure of using. It is an actual sashimi knife. We bought sushi grade tuna and salmon. Unfortunately, the salmon was smoked and I don't like that nigiri-style. SO...we made a Shalom Roll. It's smoked salmon, cream cheese and avocado. Unreal this roll is. We took pictures and as soon as I can get them on my computer I will post a few. We had Dave and Lorri over the first time, and Gina over the second time. Last night was the first night that Joe and I actually sat down and ate sushi together.

Got any neat sushi recipes??

XPosted to lots of places....
